Charlie Bown

Charlie Bown is a children’s author and poet, a teacher, playworker, childminder and mother to two bonkers children, so she pretty much spends her entire life surrounded by small humans. Sometimes people find it hard to tell who the adult is in the group and she has been referred to as having “the mind of a child” in the past. Perhaps then, it is not surprising that she loves writing stories and poems for children! Charlie’s first poetry book, ‘ THERE’S A POEM IN MY DUNGAREES ! ’, was published in October 2021 and a second collection, ‘YOU CAN’T WEAR A POEM’, was released in May 2022. Her poetry also features on the Dirigible Balloon website and she has a Youtube channel where you can watch her perform some of the poems from her books. Charlie loves visiting schools and libraries to share her passion for writing. She enjoys being by the sea, eating mash potato, singing musical theatre songs and reading. ‘MY SISTER IS AN EVIL GENUIS’ , Charlie’s debut chapter book, is inspired by sibling relationships and her love of heist films! Charlie is thrilled to be a Ventorros Press author and can’t wait to share her book.
